UPCOMING EVENTS

PSC June Meeting

We will have a club meeting on June 27, 2024.  18:00/6:00 PM.  We will be presented with a check from Pacific Coast Spirits for the month of March where Pacific Coast Spirits created a cocktail to raise money for our club.  These funds will go towards our contest this October. We will have $100 for the bar; food will be available to order.

Oceanside Parade

Join us on Saturday, June 29, 2024, for the 28th annual Independence Parade as it makes it way north on Coast Highway from Wisconsin Avenue to Civic Center Drive (just past City Hall). Come see floats, bands, walking groups, cool cars, and more. The theme this year is “CELEBRATING OUR HERITAGE.”

We as a club will have our vehicles decorated with our flags and banners.  If you have an old vintage truck or car and would like to participate, email us at thependletonsurfclub@gmail.com. We can also walk along our vehicles at the parade handing out stickers and waving to the crowd.  Please wear your club swag, if you need yours, please email us and we will get it to you.

4th of July Bike Parade

On the morning of the 4th of July there is a bicycle ride that starts at the Oceanside Elementary school right on Cassady avenue. Exactly at 09:00 the horn is sounded, and everyone rides from Cassady avenue to pacific street, then all the way to the harbor.

This is an unsanctioned event that happens every year. We dress up in our patriotic attire, decorate our bikes and ride. We then end up at Pacific Coast spirits for brunch.

We will meet and park on Stewart Street in front of the south Oceanside School Park. The ride from there to the starting spot near Serrano Street.

This is a fun event for all ages and the entire family should attend and enjoy!!!! See you there.

October 2-6, 2024. October 2nd will be the setup day. We will have the competition from the 3-6 dates. We will have beach camping, meals included each day, and other entertainment as we plan and get closer to the dates. This will be for active duty and veterans only. We talk about making change, we want and desire a better world. Well, these are ways to assist the future to be a better place. Between helping our active duty, veterans, and now the local community by helping kids, we are creating balance that will help so many people in intangible ways. I realize we can only do so much; I am asking you to do your best to participate, give a little of yourselves for others and watch how your life and family’s lives will change and grow for the better.

We have a busy summer ahead with plenty of activities to be involved with.  From supporting events for the active duty, veterans, and our local community with kids and adults alike, lend a hand.

We are all getting into the water and enjoying ourselves with the warm water and south swells approaching.  Please be aware of the water conditions, your fellow surfers, and each other.  You never know when things could go wrong.

Keep enjoying our local breaks and surfing as much as you can.  Please share your stories on our social media so we can share the epic summer ahead together.

I hope to see you in the water and at some events.

Mission of the Camp Pendleton Surf Club

The Camp Pendleton Surf Club is made up of surfers on Active duty and their families who are stationed aboard Camp Pendleton. The club is also open to reservists, retirees, DOD personnel and all branches of service stationed aboard Camp Pendleton and surrounding community. The club has been established to spread the positive force of surfing and to the military members here on the base that make the sacrifices on a daily basis for our country’s freedoms.

Our club is fortunate that our base is located with 25 miles of coastline and some of the best breaks in Southern California, which we are privileged to have right in our own back yard. No matter what your level or degree of surfing is, you are invited to come and share your stories, make new ones, and become a member of our special club.
